Domestic shares are looking for a trend today, the PX-D index trades around Friday’s close. Shares of Cesky Telecom are in investors’ focus improving by 2.4% to CZK 288. Komercni banka and CEZ jointly rose by 0.7%. Ceske Radiokomunikace also moves in line with the market gaining 0.3%. Erste Bank sharply corrects by 2.3%. Trading is only technical given the lack of fundamental domestic news.

European shares losses ground with little investors’ activity. Uncertainty related to possible war with Iraq put the investors out of the markets, which reached six years lows. Munich Re heads lower after a earnings downgrade. British Airways also losses ground after saying that 2003 financial results would depend on war with Iraq. Shares of AWG buck the trend after war for control over the company heated up. Vivendi Universal moved higher after better than expected results fueled by telecommunication division.
