Vaccination certificates and COVID-19 vaccination in the Czech Republic

Certificates are recognized for entry to establishments when using services. They also simplify travel. Fully-vaccinated holders of the European Vaccination Certificate or holders of recognised vaccination certificates from third countries can come from any country without a test and without self-isolation, just with an entry form.
Recognition of vaccination certificates from other countries
A Taiwanese vaccination certificate is currently not considered acceptable as a valid certificate as it cannot be verified by using any QR code reader.
For the purposes of Protective Measure establishing conditions for entry into the Czech Republic and for the purposes of the extraordinary measures containing exemptions for vaccinated persons in the Czech Republic, the following certificates are considered acceptable:
EU COVID digital certificate
- The EU COVID digital certificate of vaccination is a certificate issued by all EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican as of 1 July.
Third-country certificates that were recognized as equivalent to the EU COVID digital certificate
- Countries which issue certificates: North Macedonia, Ukraine, Turkey
Recognized certificates from other countries
- Countries which issue certificates: Armenia, Brazil, Great Britain, Chile, India, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Kurdistan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Moldavia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, USA

Issuance of the Czech version of the European COVID-19 certificate
The issuing of the Czech version of the COVID Digital Certificate applies to persons who have been vaccinated outside the EU or the European Economic Area.
The Czech version of the COVID digital certificate of performed vaccination may be issued to:
- A Czech citizen
- A relative of a Czech citizen
- An EU citizen who has been issued a confirmation of temporary residence within the territory of the Czech Republic or a permit for permanent residence within the territory of the Czech Republic
- An accredited member of a diplomatic mission in the Czech Republic, including a private official, or an official of an international organisation registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic

Vaccination in the Czech Republic
Foreign nationals who are directly insured within the public health insurance system in the Czech Republic can now register for vaccination using the policyholder number which they obtain from their Czech health insurance company.
A person not insured within the public health insurance system of the Czech Republic or other EU member states can be vaccinated if he/she is:
- A citizen of the Czech Republic, or
- A foreigner (from the EU or a third country) who is permitted to stay in the Czech Republic for more than 90 days.
