Effective from November 26th, 2021 the Government of the Czech Republic approved the declaration of the state of emergency in the whole territory of the Czech Republic.

From 6pm on Friday 26 November, 2021, there will be stricter restrictions for food service establishments, bars, discos, gambling halls etc. which will now have to close between 10pm and 4.59am. Christmas markets will be banned, except for the sale of Christmas trees and carp, and shopping centres will not be allowed to cater directly to food outlets.
Except for funerals, the maximum number of people at leisure, cultural, sporting, educational and other similar events will also be restricted. For leisure activities for children and adults, such as various social, sporting, cultural, dance, traditional and similar events and celebrations, the maximum number of persons allowed per event will be reduced from 1 000 to 100. When attending cultural performances, sports matches, etc., a maximum of 1,000 spectators will now be allowed in the auditorium, seated only.
