Current conditions for travelling to the Czech Republic

Please note that according to the current communication from the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, effective from 6th September 2021, Ireland is included in the list of countries with a very high risk of infection, it is marked in dark red. The Czech Republic recognizes the vaccination against Covid-19 carried out in Ireland, already 14 days after the second dose. Persons who have been vaccinated with a second dose in Ireland can travel to the Czech Republic without a test after 14 days and are not subject to self-isolation. The same applies to people who have had Covid-19 in the last 180 days.

Please note that according to the current communication from the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, effective from 31 July 2021, Ireland is included in the list of countries with a very high risk of infection, it is marked in dark red. For Czech citizens, foreigners with a residence permit in the Czech Republic, EU + citizens, and foreigners with a long-term or permanent residence permit in EU + countries, the procedure described below must be followed upon arrival in the Czech Republic:

When traveling to the Czech Republic by public transport:

adults:

-fill out the online registration form https://plf.uzis.cz/

- bring a negative test PCR test (maximum maximum 72 hours before entering the Czech Republic) or antigen test (maximum maximum 48 hours before entering the Czech Republic);

- upon arrival, undergo the RT-PCR test on the 5th day at the earliest, but on the 14th day at the latest. Self-isolation is required until the result of the RT-PCR test result

children: -

children up to 6 years of age (ie up to the 6th birthday) are completely exempted from the obligation of any test and isolation

-children aged 6-12 do not have to come with a test, however they must take a PCR test in the Czech Republic within 5 days of arrival. Until they receive a negative test result, they adhere to the isolation.

 

When traveling to the Czech Republic by individual transport:

adults:

-fill out the online registration form https://plf.uzis.cz/

-it is not obliged to bring either antigen or PCR test - upon arrival after arrival, be subjected to the RT-PCR test no earlier than the 5th day, but no later than the 14th day. Self-isolation is required until the result of the RT-PCR test.

children:

- children up to 6 years of age (ie up to the 6th birthday) are completely exempted from the obligation of any test and isolation

-children aged 6-12 do not have to come with a test, however they must take a PCR test in the Czech Republic within 5 days of arrival. Until they receive a negative test result, they adhere to the isolation.

 

The safeguard measure provides for an exemption from proving a negative PCR or antigen test when traveling from Ireland before or after entering the Czech Republic:

1 / Vaccinated persons

- who prove themselves with a national certificate of completed vaccination against COVID-19 issued in the Member States of the European Union, the model of which is published in the list of recognized national certificates on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic (Ireland's national certificate is listed) by expiring: from the administration of the second dose of vaccine in the case of a two - dose schedule under the SPC for at least 14 days, or - at least 14 days from the administration of the vaccine dose in the case of a single dose schedule under the SPC, and which at the same time does not show any symptoms of COVID-19.

2 /) Persons with a history of Covid-19 disease, ie a person who has no clinical signs of the disease and at least 11 days, but not more than 180 days, have elapsed since the first positive RT-PCR test for SARSCoV-2 evidenced by a certificate of illness COVID-19 or a written medical certificate in English containing a stamp, identification of the doctor and his telephone number, issued by a doctor operating in the Czech Republic or another EU Member State.

These persons are also not subject to the obligation of self-insulation.
