CEO of Unipetrol warned on worse results for 2H2003

CEO of Unipetrol Pavel Svarc said that Unipetrol holding would probably show worse results in the 2H2003 compared to the first half of this year. The main reason is higher price of oil and raw materials. Management of Unipetrol has already warned before and therefore we consider the news negative.
Weekly Euro informed that the Antimonopoly Office fined fuel retailers due to cartel agreement. Benzina, owned by Unipetrol was fined CZK 98m followed by OMV (CZK 68m), Shell (CZK 65m) and Conoco (CZK 22m). The companies can appeal against the fine. The news is negative for Unipetrol, however we expect Benzina to appeal against the decision.
