CEZ will decide about appeal of the Antimonopoly Office’s decision on merger with distributors

      Board of Directors of CEZ discussed yesterday the Antimonopoly Office’s ruling on merger of CEZ and the distribution companies. Antimonopoly Office confirmed its previous decision last week, which gives CEZ the opportunity to control four out of eight distribution companies. CEZ reportedly considers appeal against the ruling of the Antimonopoly Office. CEZ should announce details of its decision on Thursday.

       Control of four distribution companies is positive for CEZ, but the more distributors it controls the better for the company, as it would give it higher share on domestic consumption. On the contrary, an appeal would lead to another delay of the transaction.
