On Sunday, August 8, the staff of the Czech Embassy had the opportunity to plant a couple of Cassia fistula trees as part of the project and initiative of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan "10 billion tree tsunami."

The successful planting of the trees took place in a pleasant atmosphere of Jallo Park on the outskirts of Lahore, under the auspices of the Punjab Government's Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Department and in the presence of the Deputy Director of the Forestry Department. The aim of the park's board is to protect Pakistan's flora and fauna, while mitigating the negative effects of climate change.

Brief information about the event can be found on the Facebook pages of the Punjab Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Department, and also of the Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department.
