EU sold €414 billion worth of high-tech products in 2024
The 2026 edition of Key figures on European business brings together selected data on business activities and their structure, investment, productivity, globalisation, technology and tourism. Today, we focus on the EU’s sold production of high-tech products.
In 2024, the sold production of high-tech products in the EU was valued at €414 billion. Pharmaceuticals made up 29.1% of this total, followed by electronics and telecommunications (23.1%) and scientific instruments (20.8%); all other categories had shares below 10.0%. The smallest category was armaments, with a 1.1% share of the sold production of high-tech products in the EU.
