Bank of Russia no longer sets official exchange rate of Bulgarian lev against Russian ruble (12.01.2026)

Effective 12 January 2026, the Bank of Russia removes the Bulgarian national currency from the list of foreign currencies with the official exchange rates against the Russian ruble set by the regulator following the introduction of the euro as Bulgaria’s national currency and the withdrawal of the Bulgarian lev from circulation on 1 January 2026.
