12/14 7pm ET - LONG POST AHEAD:

A Gulf low is still expected to develop over the southern Gulf Friday. Very dangerous beach/marine conditions are expected. While heavy rain, gusty winds, severe weather, and coastal flooding may be possible, the degree of these impacts is still uncertain. We'll break down these hazards as best we can below.

⛵️ Beach/Boating: Gale Warnings continue for most of our waters through at least Sunday AM. Strong gales, potentially with brief storm-force gusts above 48 kt/55 mph well offshore), will peak Sat. night into Sunday. The beaches will likely be dangerous for all swimmers through the weekend.

🌊 Coastal Flooding: With the potential of strong onshore winds into Apalachee Bay, there is a Coastal Flood Watch for the shores of Apalachee Bay. Minor to moderate coastal flooding is possible, but this is HIGHLY dependent on the track of the low.

🌧️ Inland Rain/Wind: Locally heavy rain is possible across the area starting Sat., but the heaviest rain axis is track-dependent. Expect the rainfall map to be fine-tuned over the coming days. Wind gusts of 25-35 mph are possible, maybe near 40 mph along the coast.

All that to say, we want you to keep up with the latest forecast updates over the next couple days. The track of the low overall will ultimately determine how much of these impacts we will see.
