#Idalia made landfall this morning near Keaton Beach at 745am this morning as a strong Category 3 Hurricane. While the storm is no longer a Category 3 hurricane, very strong and dangerous winds still continue, especially along the western edge of the eye that is currently moving into northern Florida and towards south-central Georgia. Additionally, very heavy rain continues.

On the storm surge front, water levels have been rapidly rising across the eastern Big Bend with widespread reports of many coastal locations seeing several feet of inundation. It's too early to determine specific values, but life threatening surge will remain present through the afternoon as the high tide moves in.
