Head of Mission received in a farewell meeting the 1st Deputy Prime Minister

Pavel Bílek thanked Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi for cooperation. He emphasized the very good level of bilateral relations and recalled last year's very successful visit of Besnik Bislimi to the Czech Republic. He praised the intensification of bilateral contacts in the recent period and expressed hope for further deepening of cooperation, especially in the economic field.

The Head of the Czech Embassy emphasized the Czech Republic's support for the European perspective of Kosovo and all the countries of the Western Balkans, which was also an important part of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2022. The Czech Republic is closely following recent developments in the relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Pavel Bílek emphasized the need to take steps to de-escalate the current tension and return to the negotiating table.
