Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan attended International Ministerial Conference, the Salzburg Forum, in Bucharest on 15-16 November as part of the Czech EU Presidency. The conference focused on the impact of Russian aggression in Ukraine and the Western Balkans.
In Bucharest, the ministers mainly discussed preparations for possible scenarios of the impact of Russian aggression in Ukraine. They also discussed humanitarian aid to refugees and the security aspects involved. The ministers of the Czech Republic and Romania held bilateral talks on the current challenges of migration, which need to be coordinated within the EU, and on the enlargement of Schengen area.
