Europe Day Celebrations themed Australia and Europe: Shared Values in a Time of Crisis

On 17.5.2022 a conference organised by a group of Sydney-based Consul Generals of European Union member States took place in the grounds of Sydney University to mark Europe Day. The theme of the conference was Australia and Europe: Shared Values in a Time of Crisis.
There were many speakers at the event, including Vice President of the European Commission for Values and Transparency Věra Jourová, who sent a pre-recorded speech especially for the conference, the Ambassador of the European in Australia Michael Pulch and Australian Human Rights Commissioner Lorraine Finlay.
Vasyl Myroshnychenko, the Ambassador of Ukraine in Australia attended as a guest of honour.
Members of the NSW Consular Corps, non-government organisations, representatives of the academic community, students were among the guests that took part in the conference.
