Czech Embassy Visit to the GKED Institute of Economics

On January 25, 2022, representatives of the Commercial Department of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul, Mr. P. Kalina and Mr. M. ál visited the headquarters of the GKED Center in order to discuss potential opportunities for cooperation with the Embassy, as well as with the corresponding domestic organizations in the Czech Republic.
GKED Center is a contributory organization under Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance, which, in addition to academic research activities, focuses on the international cooperation, knowledge exchange and design and implementation of proven solution models in individual sectors of the economy. The institute also cooperates with a number of domestic government entities and international organizations.
As there is a number of common interests related to the very current issues of the transition to a carbon neutral economy in both of the countries, the Korean delegation of the GKED Center plans to attend the international conference on hydrogen technology entitled "Hydrogen Days", which is due to take place in Prague in March.
Additionally, there is the potential for establishing academic cooperation with similarly oriented institutions in the Czech Republic, such as CERGE-EI in fields related to the analysis and design of framework policies.
