Successful applicants of the Work and Holiday Visa, which are aged between 18-30 years old, will now have the cost of their visas waved (visa fee refunded upon arrival) for the next 12 weeks.
To help the nation ease workforce shortages caused by the spread of the Omicron variant, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has asked Working Holiday Makers to "come on down" and “enjoy a holiday here in Australia ... and join our workforce”. Australia's borders only reopened to international students and Working Holiday Makers in December of 2021.
