ENTRY RULES to the CZECH REPUBLIC

HONG KONG IS CURRENTLY IN THE DARK RED CATEGORY. MACAO IS STILL GREEN.
Due to transmission of a new virus variant, suspension of entry for persons who have spent more than 12 hours in the last two weeks in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mosambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe goes into effect on November 27. Entry is allowed for Czech / EU citizens and holders of long-term residence permits in the Czech Republic under strict epidemiological precautions, for example with negative test regardless of vaccination. This measure is in effect until December 12 with the possibility of extension. Click here for arrival obligations.
FULLY VACCINATED PERSONS can travel to CZE for any purpose from any country and can apply for any type of visa. There is no need to get tested before or after arrival or self-quarantine after arrival. Do fill out an entry form before arrival.
In order to be allowed entry as a fully vaccinated person, you will be required to present your VACCINATION CERTIFICATE.

HOW DO I FIND A TEST SITE?
There is a test site at the Václav Havel International Airport in Prague.
Refer to the LIST OF TEST SITES. (Note: The list is available in Czech only. Ask your inviting party to help you find the nearest test site.)
Plan ahead and schedule your test appointment before you travel.

EXCEPTIONS: QUARANTINE MEASURES do not apply to you or apply partially if you are one of the following:
? international transportation worker
? person transiting thr CZE by land for up to 12 hours
? person traveling to CZE by land for up to12 hours – persons travelling from very high risk of Covid-19 transmission (“dark red”) countries can arrive for the following purposes only: essential subsistence, child welfare, animal care, financial and post services, fueling, urgent health care, visit of social care facilities, urgent administrative proceedings, funeral
? person who traveling to CZE by land from neighboring countries for up to 24 hours
? staff accredited at diplomatic missions in the Czech Republic, incl. private support staff, or official of international organizations registered by the MFA of the Czech Republic
? holder of a diplomatic passports travelling for official purposes for up to 72 hours
? minor with mental disorder, autism, cognitive dysfunction or severe mental illness who cannot observe quarantine measures – medical note issued in English by a physician in CZE or another EU country must have been issued to this effect (confirmation must include a stamp and identification and contact information of the physician)
? cross-border worker, pupil or student (the so-called “pendler”) travelling back and forth on weekly basis
? parent / guardian travelling from a neighboring country to visit / take care for a child
? spouse or registered partner travelling from a neighboring country to visit a spouse or registered partner who works or studies in CZE
? correctional or police officer carrying out an escort or accompanying an aircraft
? cross-border integrated emergency system worker
? child younger than 12
? fully vaccinated person – obligation to fill out an entry form applies
? person who took ill with Covid-19 within the past 180 days and possesses a digital certificate to this effect that CZE recognizes – obligation to fill out an entry form applies
? EU citizen (incl. CZE citizen)[1], if not entering CZE by public mass transportation – these persons can enter with a negative antigen test or a PCR test (as opposed to the general obligation to enter with a negative PCR test)
? long-term and permanent residents in CZE – these persons can enter with a negative antigen test or a PCR test (as opposed to the general obligation to enter with a negative PCR test)
? person entering CZE by public mass transportation from a neighboring country for up to 24 hours – these persons can enter with a negative antigen test or a PCR test (as opposed to the general obligation to enter with a negative PCR test)
? critical infrastructure worker entering in the interest of CZE – these persons do not need to get tested in CZE 5th – 7th day after arrival
