Minister of Foreign Affairs to give speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York

Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhánek will participate at the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly on 20 – 25 September 2021 as Head of the Delegation of the Czech Republic.
Mr Kulhánek will deliver the national statement in the UNGA General Debate as a part of the Saturday session. He will also speak at the High-level Meeting on the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), at the Ministerial Meeting on Responsibility to Protect and at the Ministerial Meeting on the International Criminal Court.
In addition, he will participate in the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU. One of the main themes of the entire week will be the situation in Afghanistan.
The Minister is scheduled to meet with high-level representatives of the United Nations Secretariat and his counterparts from various countries. He will also undertake a bilateral visit to the United States that will focus, among other things, on meeting notable Czech scientists and businesspeople.
